In February 2018, our team of faculty from Moi University School of Medicine in Eldoret, Kenya; Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island; and the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Massachusetts, aimed to develop a curriculum to train internal medicine registrars (resident-level trainees) at Moi University in preventive strategies using problem-based learning (PBL) pedagogical techniques. Our aim was to pilot a workshop introducing preventive medicine concepts and a PBL pedagogical approach. With the goal of course improvement and development of future similar coursework, we developed pre- and post-workshop questionnaires to evaluate the workshop and elicit feedback from the participants, drawing on prior evaluation tools for medical education in Western Kenya (Jones, L., Gathu, C., Amin, N., Jayasekera, N., Ramos, M., Szkwarko, D.
