Cellulitis, a bacterial skin and soft tissue infection (SSTI) commonly seen in primary care settings, can be targeted by a variety of antimicrobial treatment modalities. Management of cellulitis depends on its clinical presentation and if it manifests with purulent elements. This study aims to identify Stanford primary care providers’ choice of cellulitis treatment, to determine whether they complied with the guidelines published by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), and to evaluate the effectiveness of the therapies in cellulitis management.
