Hi folks, After 12 years, there has finally been an update to the ATS-IDSA Community Acquired Pneumonia guideline. A month of work collaborating with Dr. Michael Putnam of the Univ Cinci family medicine residency inpatient service turned the new guideline into a free iPhone app with resources and quick references for all to use at the point of care, here:https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pneumonia-guide/id406419856I then assembled a corresponding teaching session for residents and medical students. It has the general recurring approach of- giving a case situation- asking a clinical management question to the crowd- then giving evidence and/or authority-based guidance on the answer- give key take-home point... then do it again. 10 cases, 14 overall take home points.
