OCD is an often missed diagnosis in primary care settings. It presents with a high degree of reduction in quality of life and heightened risk of suicide, substance use disorder and other comorbid conditions. OCD also is found in the company of a variety of "spectrum" disorders further complicating accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
